Panel Beater

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Panel Beater to join our dynamic automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and restoring vehicle bodywork to its original condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage and prepare detailed repair estimates
• Remove dents, straighten panels, and repair structural damage
• Use specialized tools and equipment for body repair and restoration
• Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, priming, and masking surfaces
• Ensure high-quality repairs that meet manufacturer and industry standards
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Collaborate effectively with painters, mechanics, and other team members
• Complete repair work within established time frames
• Maintain accurate repair documentation and work logs

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years professional experience as a Panel Beater or an apprentice. 
• Trade qualification or certification in Panel Beating/Automotive Body Repair
• Proficient in using panel beating tools and equipment
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques
• Ability to read and interpret vehicle repair specifications
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail
• Physical stamina to perform manual labour throughout the workday
• Valid driver's license

Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise in body panel repair, dent removal, and metal reshaping
• Experience with both classic and modern vehicle body repair techniques
• Proficiency in welding and metalwork
• Knowledge of paint preparation and repair processes
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
