About You

Due to growth and the acquisition of new home extension/ renovation projects, we are seeking experienced carpenter/ Leading Hand to join and grow with the team and work at our Caringbah Site.

Your future with us

We are looking for experienced framing carpenter who can take a plan and work without supervision. Your strong carpentry background and ability to communicate well and problem solve is essential. This is a long-term role to start as soon as possible, with a successful family-run business that takes care of its people and with the possibility of moving into a Builder/ Site supervisor role down the track.

About the position

Projects based in Blacktown, Parramatta, Hills District and surrounding suburbs, you will lead and motivate a team of 2-4 carpenters and apprentices depending on the project size.

Duties include but are not limited to

The right candidate will:

• Bring a strong Framing carpentry skill set 
• At least 5 years experience of building Extensions and new builds
• Supervise the daily project activities 
• Checking quality of trades work
• Assisting with scheduling trades
• Measure and order materials
• Liaising with the client and project stakeholders as required
• Ensure site WHS is adhered to
• Read and interpret plans and/or architectural drawings 
• Problem solve and think ahead
• Be flexible to go between sites when needed
• Excellent time management and organizational skills

Skills and Requirements

• Trade qualified in Framing Carpentry
• Carpentry with 5 years experience
• Post apprenticeship residential experience
• Current drivers license
• Reliable and a clear communicator
• Any leadership experience is preferred but NOT essential if you have the right attitude
