About the role

Reporting to the Senior Contract Manager – Cleaning Services – VIC Schools, the Area Manager will oversee a portfolio of educational facilities By developing strong relationships and providing commitment and accountability in the delivery of cleaning services across this contract. The Area manager will play an important role in ensuring operational excellence ensuring a positive client experience. 

Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Effectively manage day to day of account management and delivery of cleaning services to clients including proactive site inspection and conducting toolbox talk,  portfolio growth and work orders
• Implement a proactive approach to meet key stakeholders’s (Principals and Business Managers) requirements, expected outcomes, and improvement to ensure the level of standards of delivery and conformity of specification are met
• Promote and monitor safe work practices. Ensure ensuring compliance with risk management, quality assurance, workplace health and safety, statutory and contractual obligations
• Induct and train new staff in alignment with expected standards and quality of the cleaning industry
• Produce summary reports, manage and monitor roster and complete payroll timesheet for responsible portfolio

About you

• Demonstrate previous experience in a similar role in the cleaning industry (highly desirable).
• Demonstrated track record of dealing with clients, suppliers, and management
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), high ability to manage conflict resolution and problem solving with a wide range of clients and internal teams
• Proficient computer skills in MS Office suite
• Excellent presentation, organise, problem-solving, multi-tasking and time management skills to efficiently prioritise and meet competitive deadlines
• Ability to work as a great member of our team, with the ability to exercise independence
• Initiative and a proactive approach to work and undertaking tasks outside of core requirements
