Carpenter | Tiny Home Builds | Full Time Position

The opportunity

Quokka Container Cabins is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our growing business in Beenleigh, Queensland. 

This full-time position is crucial in supporting our growing business that specialises in the design and construction of innovative container cabins. You will be working primarily on your own within a factory setting with the aid of an apprentice and reporting to the project manager

Key responsibilities

• Interpret and follow detailed construction plans to build high-quality container cabins
• Expertly use a range of hand and power tools to perform carpentry tasks such as framing, flooring, window installation, bathroom fit-outs, and cabinetry installation.
• Work collaboratively with the design and construction team to ensure projects are completed to the highest standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve any on-site construction challenges in a timely manner
• Assist with the installation of plumbing, electrical, and other specialist systems as required

What we're looking for

• Formal carpentry qualification or equivalent experience in the construction of tiny homes, container cabins, or similar small-scale projects
• Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills to overcome on-site challenges
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the broader construction team
• A commitment to workplace health and safety
• Flexibility to work to tight deadlines and adapt to changing project requirements
